For my Sew Much Fun block I decided to showcase one of my favorite tools in my studio...

my bobbin keeper!

After falling in love with thread painting and learning the joys of working with thicker weight threads in the bobbin to create some super fun art quilts and stitches on applique projects, I quickly learned the joys of having plenty of wound and ready bobbins 

within reach!

Not only is it fun to see all my pretty threads lined up and ready to play, it's wonderful not to have to stop and wind a bobbin while I'm in the 'zone' of thread painting. 

I hope you have fun choosing different colored fabrics to create your own bobbin keeper applique block, and maybe play with adding a few extra stitches to add some fun 

texture to them as well. 

If you've not tried bobbin work before, you can learn more about it on my YouTube channel where I have some fun demo and tutorial videos to watch.  And if you are looking for some good threads to play with, swing by my website and start building up 

a fun collection of colors to wrap on your real bobbins as well!
